That’s a very good question.

Fixed spreads can be provided by an STP broker as well as a Market Maker, as it’s actually a choice that the broker makes.

Tadawul FX gets its price feed from various banks and financial institutions, and as a result is able to offer not only low but also fixed spreads at all times. For example, if one bank we work with has closed for the day or has widened the spread on a certain currency pair, we are able to use another bank or financial institution for its better price feed. In other words, we get to choose from a wide range of liquidity providers to ensure that we always offer some of the best spreads available 24 hours a day. Many other companies work with only 1 or 2 liquidity providers, and therefore when their liquidity providers widen spread, they also have to do the same.

Tadawul FX’s generates its income from the difference between ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ prices. The more volume goes through the company, the more it earns. Whether the trader is in profit or loss is irrelevant here, as all the orders go through automatically. However, it is actually in Tadawul FX’s favour to see clients make profit, because generally this means that clients will trade longer and as a result generate more volume. We always look at ways to improve trading conditions we offer so clients are satisfied with working with us and have the best trading experience possible.
