The objective of the Fund is to seek long-term capital growth through investing in listed companies in Eastern Europe. The Fund invests in the stock markets of the recently joined European Union states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Slovakia), and also in countries that stand a realistic chance to join the EU in the next wave of new members (Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia). The Fund exercises an active strategy to capture the potential of the best public companies in the region given the risk structure of the region's economies and stock exchanges. The Fund ensures that its investors get the best from the economic convergence progress that is accompanying the enlargement of the EU.
